The Prep Boys hockey team hosted a Midwest Prep Hockey League Divisional Weekend and came away with two wins in three games.
The Tigers dropped a 4-2 decision to Bishop’s College School before defeating Rice Memorial 7-0 and Rothesay Netherwood School 5-4.
Rylee Hlusiak led the way with six goals, while Carter Giles added two.
Carlo Muraro earned both wins in net.
The Tigers improved their overall record to 32-16-3-1.
"As a whole, the weekend went great,” said head coach, Mike McCourt. “Four very competitive teams battled it out in front of hundreds of fans and dozens of coaches and scouts. Hosting an MPHL Divisional Weekend is always one of the highlights of our season, and this weekend was a great experience for everyone involved.
"As for our team, we were able to rebound from a slow start in game one, and lock up the number one seed heading into playoffs in a couple of weeks. The boys battled hard all year long, and clinching the number one seed speaks to the determination and consistency they showed throughout the regular season."
